Hello folks,
I am looking to apply for my ILR in Nov and have the following:
1. Initially entered UK on a WP in 2005, applied for ILR in 2010, rejected due to 1 long absence of over 90 days.
2. UKBA advised reapplying in 2012.
3. Currently on a Tier1, and total absence on date of application as follows:
A. Total days away 215
B. official 179
C. Personal 36
No absence greater than 90 days, longest absence of 77 days.
Also, am being advised to apply at Liverpool.

Is this case going likely to be a problem?
Many thanks!

if you can prove the official absence, nothing will be the problem,

the official absence may not considered absence in my view.

What are your absences during the last five years, say Nov 1 2007 to Nov 1 2012?

Hi,
Thank you for the time.
Total days away 215.
Business related 179, majority of which under 3 days. 1 or 2 over a week. 1 or 2 over 2 weeks. Just one of 77 days.
Personal trips were paid annual leave totalling 36 days in 5 years.
Regards.

Is that excluding UK arrival/departure dates?

Have a solid business case for your business absences. Why you, what are business implications to company if not you, could it have been done in any other way, etc...

Yes that's excluding dep/ret days. I have letter from employer stating that I travelled in order to fulfil my official duties and these meetings are important for the company business. They also have the detailed table of travels in the letter. Hopefully that's adequate?
-bump.
