Hi,

I am a work permit holder due to complete my 5 years on Feb 4th 2013. My wife joined me in the UK on a dependant visa in Sep 2009 and just last month took up a part time job. Both our visas expire on 31st of Jan. I am planning to apply for ILR for both of us, wife being dependent, in mid January. Now that she started doing part-time I am in doubt whether she will still be considered as a dependent.

Would appreciate any help.

Employment (or lack of it) doesn't change your spouse's immigration status.

I am afraid have one more question.

As such she has lived over 2 years but I am assuming there is no minimum requirement on the number of years a work permit dependent has to stay before applying for ILR ?
