Visa start date: 08 Jan 2003
Entry into UK: 04 Feb 2003

so can I calculate 28 days from the visa start date or the date I entered the UK ?

I saw in this forum that one member got his ILR through this process but on HSMP category, but will this apply on 10 years long residency ?

(p.s) I have valid visa till feb 2013 end.

You can apply no more than 28 days before you complete 10 yrs. You can apply any day after that.

Always helpful to read the relevant policy guidance.
Long residence (276A - 276DH).
