My turn to share my experience and small way of thanking everyone who helped
HSMP – Jan 2008 to Dec 2010
Tier 1 – Jan 2011 to Dec 2013
ILR appointment in Solihull on 6th December at, 10:25 am… Reached at 9:30 but was asked to wait till 10:00. Went inside the PEO at 10 am.
We were called inside at 11 am for submission of document for me and my Husband. CW was pleasant and asked for the documents in following order.
1. Please Submit the Form & Passports – She reviewed the complete form including Vacations. I handed her calculation of vacations on separate sheet. She asked for Photo copy of passport
2. Submit Photographs – Question asked – when was this taken
3. Please give salary slip & bank statement – She recalculated my salary on calculator. I offered my table of calculation but she said she has to check this own her on. She asked for photocopies of bank statements and Salary slips.
4. Letter from Employer confirming my Job and Salary
5. She asked for 3 proofs of Cohabitation
a. Mortgage document from 2010 – ACCEPTED AS PROOF
b. Bank statement from Dec 2010 to Dec 2012 – DECLINED AS FROM SAME BANK AS MORTGAGE
c. Utility bill with Joint names from 2012 – ACCEPTED AS PARTIAL PROOF
d. Council tax document for all 2 years starting Dec 2010 to March 2013 – ACCEPTED AS PROOF

Biggest learning. – She didn’t accept bank statements as proof because my mortgage was from same bank as bank statements. She said 3 proofs from 3 different entities. Also, she said utility bill is for 2012, give one more proof for 2011. Then we submitted my salary slip for spouse from 2011 which she accepted as proof of address and my P60 for the same year showing same address.

6. Then made a payment at 11:35.
7. Came out and finished biometric by 12
8. Asked to leave and come back by 2:15
9. After coming at 2:15, we had to wait till 2:45 when they announced my name and asked me collect documents and decision letter.
10. Left the PEO at 2:46.
Any questions I am more than happy to help.

Congratulations. A few queries- Did your absences out of UK exceed 180 days. If so did you an employer letter justifying the absences. Salary calculations- what exactly does this mean. Would you be able to upload a sanitised copy of the same.

Congratulations jo1.

How long did it take you to get there at that hour? Where were you travelling from?

I have an appointment around the same time next week. I am travelling from cambridge. Wondering h what time is a safe time to leave.

SONAKSHI: CW worker will not trust you with out evidence specially point scoring area. So making any letter such is not work.

I drove up from Heathrow area to Solihull on a Wednesday morning. I gave myself 2.5 hours to get there. Did 92 miles (M25,M40, and about 20 miles off of M40) in about 1 hour 45 mins.

So plan on reaching there about 45 mins to 1 hour early. Park at John Lewis (card payment OK). And a few hundred yards from there.

Given that the weather is going to be chilly and the roads are going to icy in the morning, I would prefer to travel at night and stay locally somewhere. A lot is at stake in case you can't make it on the day. I am assuming you have booked one appointment slot only.

Booking appointment?

Hi,

clontonmdu01, last night early this morning from 11.58pm to 00.30 I stayed up trying to book an PEO appointment at Croydon. It was the worst night as the site kept crashing and when I did manage to pick a slot by the time I selected it the next page would not load and lost the booking... that happened 4 times LOL!

I kept refreshing and refreshing and then I saw all the appoinments for croydon were finished and then lazily tried brimingham at 12.30am and they had loads...So i booked one for there..Had no trouble with that booking at all.

Bookings are only available from midnight on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

You cannot book appointments on Friday & Saturday apart from cancellations.
