no entry stamp on schengen visa-due to apply ILR

I have a problem, I am due to apply ILR Jan 2013, in one occasion I traveled to Germany by bus on schengen visa on 7-10 days trip, but there is no exit/entry stamp (calais to dover entry), I do remember they checked my passport and asked few questions about my visa, but they didn't stamp on passport.
I checked my emails, banks statements, old tickets but no chance of getting any help from those.
I am thinking to put any date from visa approval date to 7 days in Section 6- IMMIGRATION HISTORY . Is that ok ?
Has anyone got idea about this ?
