ILR Due Soon - Negative Balance in Bank Statements

Hi Guys,

I am due for an ILR in the next few months. My question is on the bank statements. I understand that I will have to submit last 12 months original bank statements but the problem is that my statements are in overdraft of about £1400 on regular basis. I have read on this forum that there is no minimum balance requirement for ILR but I wonder if case worker pick the overdrawn bank statements as an issue for refusal of my application.

Please can someone advise who may have had their ILR approved with overdrawn bank statements? Your help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Romi

Thanks, I already know this and have specifically stated this in my initial post.

I wanted to know from those who have had their ILR approved with overdrawn bank statements? Please help.

Thanks

It shouldn't be a problem. Although it is advisable to have some funds in your account but I have seen several success stories where people got their ILRs with their accounts in over draft.

If you search on this forum, you will find the related posts.

Hi Romi,

I'm in the same boat as you. Realistically, i will be able to pay off my overdraft at least 3 months before applying but the earlier 9 months will be overdrawn.

Please share if you find further links on this subject or your experience with HO.

Thanks.
