Document return request

Hi all,

We made an ILTR application in Nov and have just found out that I need my passport. Just a quick query to see if anyone has processed a return request? This is not for the applicant (my wife) but for me the spouse.

I was advised when I rang the UKBA phoneline that since it is my passport I want back, the application will not be withdrawn. However on the site it also says the following:

'For all applications other than European and nationality applications, if you request the return of documents, your application will be automatically withdrawn and your application fee will not be refunded'

http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/about ... documents/

Was hoping someone on here has been through something similar and might be able to advise.

Many thanks

will be tempted to know about that.

But in the word document which you need to fill, the 3rd field ask "Do you want to withdraw your application". I assume you need to put NO there but i do not know what are the consequences.

have you given Biometrics yet ?

Hi Innocent, thanks for your reply

Yes I have put NO down on that. And the wife has given the biometrics too- about 3 weeks or so ago I think.

I have tried ringing, every extension goes to a recorded message. Want to speak to someone again just to confirm a second time...ill ask again and see.

I dont have a choice really, its my fault for not making a copy. feel very stupid.

i would attach put a message on that word document explicitly saying that you don't want to withdraw the application. I would assume it should work as your wife has already given biometrics.

i take it you have passport and biometric card so please post back once you receive you docs to see which docs you get back, all of them or just passport
