Hi Everyone

I have a question about my child - 3 months old, born in the UK and is automatically British as I am British.

Does my child need to attend the PEO appointment with me and my wife who is the ILR applicant????

Just for further information - I have his birth certificates, GP card and an appointment letter included in the application as a precaution.
On the set(m) form I have answered yes to question 3.1 - that we have children together and provided my child's info on question 3.6. Also on question 3.9 I have written (to provide further information) where my child was born, date of birth and that he is not a dependent applying for ILR.

is you child applying for any kind of "VISA" which requires Biometrics, then yes... as they take picture of the baby...

No....my child is not applying for any kind of visa. He was born here and is British as am I. My wife applying is for ILR. However as he is our child and is referred to in questions 3.1, 3.6 and 3.9 and I have also included his berth certificate and his GP card.

Any further advice/replies please would much appreciated as I am stil unsure??

Section 3 of the Set(M) form only has to be filled in if the child is also applying for settlement at the same time as your wife. Because your child is British, you DO NOT need to fill this section in at all.

Your child can accompany you to the PEO appointment even if no application for the child is being made. They will not turn you away.

I would suggest you re-print the relevant page so that it remains blank.

Thanks for taking the time to reply. much appreciated. I wish to they were a bit more clear in their questions.

The questions are

3.1 Do you and your partner have any children togther?

3.6 Do you and your partner have any children together?

3.9 Please include any further information that you think may be relevant to the consideration of this application. You may
wish to include details of any children under the age of 18 who are living with you in the UK, and are British citizens, or
have lived here for the last 7 years. Continue on a separate page if necessary.

In the introduction to section 3 they mention they want details of children applying for ILR as dependants but they should still be more clear in their questions.

So just to clarify so I am on the same page as you -

I answered Yes to 3.1 and 3.6 and then for 3.9 I have provided details of my child - where/when he was born, his name etc. Have I filled this section incorrectly???

I don't think it will make a difference if it is completed as the information is truthful. Make sure you tick the correct fee box though so you don't pay for wife +1.
