Gurus/Moderators -Pls can someone clarify on my below case if I would be eligible to apply for my ILR.
I had been into the UK on 1st Jan 2008 on a WP, however had my Tier 1 stamped on 5th Sep, 2008. I had resigned and moved into self employment from the 21st Sep, 2008 till 5th August, 2009. During this period I was sent to South Africa for a project, however was continued to be paid in UK and I have paid taxes in UK during the same period.
Pls can someone confirm for the period Sep, 2008 till Aug 2009 during which I was sent to South Africa while still being paid in UK, will this be treated as a break in continous period?
Pls see below a summary of my 5 year stay:
1/Jan/2008 -Entered UK on WP
5/Sep/2008 - Moved to Tier 1
21/Sep/2008 - 5/Aug/2009 - Sent to SA on a project, however was paid in UK and have as well paid taxes in the UK.
6th/Aug/2009 - till date - Employed in UK.
I would really appreciate if some feedback for the period relating to my SA trip can be provided?
