Hi,

My case..

My first HSMP Visa start - 17/04/2008
First UK Entry - 14/05/2008
Tier-1 (Gen) Extn in 2010
UK Visa expiry - 17/04/2013
5 Year completion from first entry - 14/05/2013

Looking at the UK BA site & this forum, I am bit confused on Life in the UK test & english proficiency..
One section says..

"If you are an English speaker (see below), you must pass the 'Life in the UK test'. If you are not an English speaker, you must pass a course in English for speakers of other languages (ESOL) which contains citizenship materials."

My mother tongue is not english, but ..
- I was eligible for Tier-1 & extension & passed IELTS exam
- I have Degree taught in English from India

So Do I need to Pass ESOL..? or just life in Uk is enough for ILR..?

thanks.

Hi! Tina,

It's better you sit for LIFE IN THE UK TEST.

NOT DIFFICULT ,I STUDIED FOR ONLY 2 WEEKS.PASSED LAST MONTH.

PASS CERTIFICATE WILL BE NEEDED FOR YOUR ILR.
