Do the company letter required for tier 1 general applicant

Please can someone help me on this.
Tier 1 general visa going for ILR, do we need the letter from employer the way Tier 2 applicant get like , this employee need for another 1 year, something like that..
Do the same letter require for Tier 1 applicant as well ?
pls suggest me on this.
