Doubt on ILR

Could you please advise me regarding my work permit extension and ILR. I am on work permit, entry clearance stamped on 01 April 2008 and entered the UK on 25th May 2008 (after 55 days of visa stamping). Under the new amendments, do I need to extend my work permit (change to Tier 2) and then only apply for ILR considering the 90 days period rule before entry? If so, when I will be eligible for applying for ILR. Request the Senior Members' guidance on this as I am confused.
Thanks and regards

Hi,
Please go through this(Indefinite leave to remain – calculating continuous period in UK). This should clear your doubts.
