Hi All,

I entered UK on student visa in 2006. Got HSMP in 2008 and extension in 2010. I have my ILR due in march. Guys please advise me what shall I fill in the above question?. Would that be my student visa entry date or HSMP stamp date?.

Any advise will be appreciated.

Thank you.

Thank you mate for the reply,

Since I entered UK on student visa would that be not my entry date?. Or UKBA means HSMP visa stamping date?. Since HSMP was stamped in UK.

Thank you.

Depends on which question on which form you are referring to.

The question also clearly states (the date on which your application for ILR is based).
So, in this case, It will be your HSMP approval date i.e. 2008.
Time spent in the UK on Student visa strictly does not count toward ILR qualification unless its a case of long residence (for which it is separate application)

This answer is based on actual response of other successful applicants who submitted their ILR application using form SET-0 version 12/2013
