Hello Memebers,

I am going for ILR(HSMP + Tier 1 G) next week but I am bit worried about a letter received from HMRC yesterday.

HMRC letter is all about, they have re-calculated previous to previous year's tax and I would need to pay more tax in addition to the tax I have already paid for that year. Deadline for the payment is end of Feb'13. I have my own Ltd Company and my accoutants are going to respond to HMRC to understand the calculations.

I have already got HMRC employment history letter for last 5 years but after this new letter from HMRC tax amount for that particular year doesnt match with what already on employment history if at all my accountants agree with HMRC calculations.

Will it impact my ILR application? I have been in employment all the 5 years including current year.

Gurus & Senior Members, please advice.

P60s isn't a requirement so why complicate your application by adding additional docs which are not even required?

Thanks for your response uksettlement

I am definitely not going to hand over unnecessary documents (including employment history and P60's) unless case worker asks me.

I am trying to prepare for worstcase as well.

So what if case worker insists to produce P60's or Employment History :(

Sure.

Considering HMRC timelines for sorting the issue...My actual point is if I have to pay the additional tax I still have time which is end of Feb'13.
My ILR appointment is next week and If I dont pay the additional tax by my ILR appointment date will it have any impact on ILR?

I will take HMRC letter with me to show the due date which is end of Feb'13.

Please advice.

I don't think so there could be an issue, miscalculations happens in companies tax issues. you haven't done any criminal offence, in case they ask you can tell them your accountant is dealing with HMRC regarding this.
