Intial EC - 05 March 2008
Tier 1 expires by - 05 March 2013
First entered UK - 17 May 2008
ILR with 3 dependents

Documents submitted:
- SET O form
- Passports
- Photgraphs
- Payslips
- Bank statements
- LITUK test certificates
- Cohabitation documents (for 2 years)
(Handed out a bunch of documents, but the CW choose few of them)

Copies of the documents:
- Payslips
- Bank statements

CW didn't ask for any copies (surprise), but I handed out payslips and bank statement copies.

Experience:
- Appointment at 10.35 AM. Reached there by 9.30 AM. Requested by security team to comeback again at 10.15 AM. Very cold outside, hence headed back to John Lewis and returned after a cup of coffee.
- 2 of the CW on leave (don't recall if the duty manager mentioned it as leave or laid off). Hence it took more time than usual
- Be prepared for the time that you have to spend in the waiting room (which is usually full) and if you have kids take some snacks, books or toys
- At 2.00, the front desk team member informed us to leave the office and return after an hour. We returned after our lunch
- Check the details when you receive the ILR confirmation letters. There was a mistake in the DOB of one of my child. The BRP would inherit the details and better to correct it at the PEO.

I entered UK after 56 days of Entry Clearance. Do i have to specify 56 days in absent List?

No. You need to have first arrived in the UK, in order to be absent, therefore absences are counted from your date of first entry into the UK.

Because you managed to enter within 3 months of visa issue you can count this 56 days period within continuous residency.

No. Just printed the document (Calculating continuous period) just in case the CW says otherwise.

You can book PEO appointment 28 days before 10 April 2013, so your appointment is within 28 days window which is fine. As you are on tier 1 general , so you don't need any proof of paid holidays, just mention as family visit purpose in your application form. You need evidence only for absence period if you had any because of compassionate/compelling nature.

Except that 115 days should not fall in to compelling/compassionate grounds

I came to uk on 25-May-2008 with my Tier2 ICT, so when can I apply my ILR?

115 Days is not Continuous

26 Days (early-2009) + 50 Days(end-of-2009) + 4 days (early-2011) + 35Days (early-2012) all are family holidays

First of all congratulations for your success.

I want to ask did you submit evidence of maintenance funds with your application?

If yes, how much and for how many months?

I am filling form SET(O) now and in the sections 11 it says

"Evidence of your finances. If you have to complete section 5, bank statements, building society savings
book(s), pay slips or other formal documents as evidence of your ability to maintain and accommodate yourself
and any dependants without recourse to public funds."

I think 99% of people fill section 5. So they need maintenance funds.

BUT, everybody on this forum is saying there is no need for maintenance funds for ILR application. I am confused.

Can you please tell me your experience?

No need for maintenance fund. Just keep your P60s and payslips handy. this section is mostly tick-boxes, not necessarily a determining factor except for public funds part.
