ILR under Tier1 (previously Tier 2 ICT), Immigration history

Hi,
I entered UK under Work permit scheme in 2008 and later moved to Tier 2 ICT. In 2011, I gained Tier 1 general VISA and changed my company in 2012.
Now I am completing 5 years and applying for ILR.
In the Set (o) form, section 6, Immigration history, it requires to fill all absence from country.
While on Tier 2 ICT, I visited India twice for 3 weeks each (personal trip) and 1 day visit to Netherlands (business trip). My old employer is not issuing me this letter of absence from the country. Can anyone help if i need to have this letter as mandatory or VISA stamping on passport can be used for this ?
