business meeting letter stamped?

Hi all,
I have a business trip to HK this month, i contacted MP to help me to chase up my visa application (set (o)). UKBA wants to a letter from HK company. But I do not know if this letter needs to be stamped? it is just short words in the company head paper with signture, and very simple.
is it ok?
