Hi,

My wife and I came together to the UK and we applied for the extension together after the initial 2 years of HSMP. I am now in the Tier1 General category and will be completing 5 years in April. I am applying for ILR for myself, my wife and child. She was however out of the country for 7 months last year for her maternity. Will she be requiring any additional documents to prove that she was out of the country only for her delivery? She has proof though for her stay here for the last 5 years.

Any advice appreciated.

Thanks.

absences for dependant is not a problem as long as she has been on the visa for over 2 years and you have the co-hab docs you will be fine.

I was in a similar situation, it is not a problem as long as you can provide cohab documents.
