Appeal hearing - represented by Solicitor or Barrister??

Hi
My solicitor would like to attend and represent my case in the hearing herself, but I was thinking Barrister will attend my hearing (not the solicitor).
Can you please suggest me what will be the implications? What to say to my Solicitor? I appreciate that different people have different understanding of the issues, and different style of presenting, but I was thinking the Barrister would be stronger than the Solicitor in Court.

I think Barrister writes the brief for the solicitor. Employing a Barrister is very expensive. If the Solicitor is confident about the case case then no harm in representing. Ultimately you have to decide whom you want to represent you in court.

Also please note that there are Barristers,who are Immigration specialists.

Thanks for the reply.
I do not know much about the Soilicitor in terms of his capacity; sounds like she is confident enough but I do not know much about her. She has taken fee for representation - initially when I talked to her, she said a barriester will represent you. But now, she is saying I will be representing you...so not sure what to do...since they are representing me, I am not in a position to get a seperate Immigration Barrister ...so even if I asked them for a Barrister, they have to find one (they might have their regular one?). So shall I ask for a Barrister or just go with her???

Normally a barrister attends a court hearing. However, you could represent yourself to. Hence, solicitor should be ok too.
