Hi guys,
I'm going to apply ILR in 3 weeks time. My situation is WP (20/04/2008/ - 01/05/2009) and T1G(01/05/2009 - present).
I am going to get a letter from one of my previous employers (WP sponsor) confirming that my absences were paid holidays.
Unfortunately the company doesn't have dates of my holidays but they can confirm that all my absences were paid holidays. Would it be sufficient for UKBA? Can I use my payslips and bank statements to prove I was paid during holidays?

In that case why dont you type up the days you were outside UK and ask the company to certify that with start date and end date of employment with that company ?

The problem is my employer doesn't keep records of my holidays and cannot verify that I was on holidays for specific periods of time. But he can provide letter confirming that I didn't take unpaid days off

Well this is what the UKBA guidance says
"Evidence in the form of a letter from the employer setting out the reasons for the absences, including annual leave, must be provided."
So I'm not sure if there is a way around it, unless someone has had any experience about it.
May be a question for the Gurus & Senior members

You could work out the days you were absent from UK from your Passport Entry/Exit stamps. Then show your payslips to your employer for that period. After confirmation that you have been paid,It should be OK for him to sign.

If you can get it then its fully secured as per immigration rules you need a letter from employer ref absences for the time you have been on WP/tier 2. But 8 out of 10 times it is not asked specially when the WP time was just 3-4 months like its yours. Nothing really to panic about if you can't get the letter
