Query on different role/designation

Hi ,

I’m currently under tier 2 work permit and will be completing 5 years soon and would like to apply for ILR. My visa was extended in December 2012 and I’m still working with the same company and client. The only change is my designation/role is different now from what was mentioned at the time of VISA extension in COS. My salary is at par with my new designation as mentioned in the SOC code. Is having a different ROLE/Designation than what was applied at the time of VISA extension going to be a problem ? Can you advise please.

Thanks,
Sharad

Your employer will need to give you a letter that says that you are being paid at or above the SOC table for the job title or closest match to what you are doing now, and that you will be employed with them for the foreseeable future.

Look at the sticky above for some letter templates.

Simplify.
