Hi

I was entered UK in aug 04 as student, got HSMP approval letter in jan 08, switch/stamped T!G under transitional arrangement of HSMP approval to T1G in may 08.

Called UKBA this morning and was advised to enter aug 04 in 6.1 and all holidays and out country visits since then in 6.2 I have got even recording of their conversation

I am confused as I thought it must be 6.1 = may 08 and 6.2 nothing because I was on paid holidays from work

Q 6.1 SET (O)
When did you (the main applicant) first enter the UK? This
refers to the date of your first entry into the UK at the beginning
of the period of stay on which this application is based.

Q 6.2 SET (O)
Since then have you had any absences from the UK? If yes, give the dates you left
and returned to the UK and the reason for the absence in the spaces below. List
all absences however short and in date order. If you need more space, continue
on a separate sheet and enclose it with your application.

Can someone please reply on this and also give me some link to similar threads and if possible them some link to UKBA website for explanation or guidance note on this question

Thanks a lot for clarifying situation

absences from the UK

Does it has to include all paid holidays? As I was always away only 2/3 weeks on paid holidays. Someone told me, if it is unpaid holidays or I was not working then I need to include it

for 6.1 our friend : wpilr_nov12 answered properly

also for 6.2 u have to list all holidays date for last 5 yrs time doesn't matter paid or unpaid

say for example

Date left the UK | Date returned to the UK | Reason for absence

02/07/2011 31/07/2012 Annual holidays (none paid- please see the employer letter attached)

01/06/2012 14/02/2012 Annual holidays (paid)

01/02/2012 14/02/2012 Annual holidays (paid)

15/05/2011 30/05/2012 Annual holidays (paid)

if u r under WP , please provide a letter to match the holidays took,
