What if someone has NO MONEY to pay for ILR?

What if someone is totally skint, so is his/her sponsor, has no family, has no one to rely on to pay application fee for ILR before his visa runs out. What happens to such a person?

There are two main requirements for anyone to be eligible for ILR.
Req No 1. You have to prove that you're a cash cow.
Req No 2. Refer to no 1.

Most often applicants start to save some money well in advance of applying.

Not sure where this question comes from? Also unfortunately there is no discretion on fees. If you don't have the fee you cannot apply

No Visa Fees No ILR. May be you have to Loan this money.

Don't any humanitian and blah blah apply here? those EHCR articles 1 2 3 8 9 ..any?
technically they'd have to pay your ticket back so might as well pay for your visa lol

One person who cannot pay for the ILR and leaves the country is a preferred scenario for ukba. I am sure they will not have a problem deporting this individual as its going for tax payers money. Also, sending a person back means one less potential new citizen.

I don't they will pay for Visa Fees and keep you in UK as you will be starting claiming the benefits immediately. If I am UKBA, I would rather pay even double of the money towards your flight ticket back to your own country rather than pay your fee.
I have not seen anywhere any consideration for the fee. This is something to be planned in advance and saved. If not, you need to find a way to loan the money from somewhere.

may help in exceptional and compassionate circumstances.

Is this a real situation or a hypothecal. In any case, the person might be working or foing something to earn money (to claim points), so he can tske a personal losn or over draft from the bank or borrow from his friends, colleagues.
