Any requirements for home coutry passport?

Hi,
I wonder if there is a problem with the home country passport. It will be expired on March 16, 2014.
If to send the ILR application for the 10 years period (according to the forum it takes 6-8 months) - will the HO accept it if I'll send the ILR application on September 16, 2013?
If anyone got the documents back due to this reason?
Thank you.

Passport expiry during application processing does not affect the outcome and ILR is granted on BRP card.

Thanks. I read somewhere that to review the application the passport should be valid not less than 6 months ahead.

Just thinking aloud, these days UKBA issues BRP and no more stamping on passports and by the looks of it you have almost good gap between September 2013 and March 2014, I hope you will be fine. You can wait for seniors to reply. You can go through this thread:

I hope this helps

If you are still doubtful then why not renew the passport and then send the application.
