Enquiries on ILR processing - over six months

Hello All,
I applied for ILR (10 year rule) end of Sept and still no sign of passport. I have to go for a family wedding next month, have booked tickets, and now really worried. Tried calling UKBA (on option for over six months applications) - but they just hang-up saying all their lines are busy. Have been checking every 20 mins. now without any luck, so I feel that they are not going to pick up.
Could anyone pls give me some advise how to contact them to check for status of my application - email ?. Please please help.
