All,
I am applying for ILR with new SETO application under Tier1 general category please could you shed some light on the following queries

1. ILR SETO page 14 section 6.2 & 6.3:
-- During my period of qualification for stay I worked for 2 employers during the transition between one employer to the other I had a 2 week idle time which I used to go abroad on a holiday. This period doesn't come under the paid annual leave for both the employer. How can I show the proof for travel abroad?? does a personal letter would suffice or what is the best thing to do

2. ILR SETO page 19 section 7.11:
-- How long have you lived in the UK??
should this be 5 years or 4years 11 months 10 days will do?? and a further query on the same does this period be the time I spent under Tier1 general which I am claiming as a qualifying period for ILR (which is 4years 11 months) or do I need to mention my first entry to UK which is as a student in 2005 (which is 8 years 4 months)

1. ILR SETO page 14 section 6.2 & 6.3:
-- You do not even need a personal letter to show any period of travel outside of the UK falling between any employment.
Use the section 8B - Other Information on the SET-O form instead and specify that period with exact dates of travel and
confirming that you were not employed and that period was not part of any paid holidays

2. ILR SETO page 19 section 7.11:
In your case, it is 8 years 4 months
Because, this question is not a part of Immigration History on which your application will be decided but, it is a part
of Personal History section so you need to specify the entirety of your stay in the UK spanning all kinds of leave or visa

This answer is based on actual response of other successful applicants who submitted their ILR application using form SET-0 version 12/2013
