Absence calculations.. Please clarify

Hi. I have one question regarding absesenses from UK.
Suppose Monday you left UK at 9 or 11 am
and landed back say 6 or 9PM Friday.
How many days I should calculate away from UK?
Will it be Tuesday, wed and thrusday 3 days off from UK or Mon-Friday 5 days off from UK??

Travel dates are not included in absences, only 24 hour day is considered as absence, So it will be only be 3 days.

Please provide details of any periods of absence of more than 6 months during that time.
says on set m visa form. if you were out for 5 days you dont need to write it down.
