Hi All,

This is with respect to my ILR eligibility. I came to UK in March July 08 on Tier 2 Dependent Visa. In the first month itself I got a job. I was on dependent visa till Jan 10. My employer than processed my Tier 2 work permit and I am on work permit since Feb 10. I would be completed 5 years in July 2013 but in these 5 years, I was on dependent visa for 3.5 years and for the last 1.5 years I am on Tier 2 work permit.

I wanted to know if I am eligible for ILR or not.

Thanks in advance.

Regards,

Vicky Arora

You will be eligible for ILR once you complete 5 years on Tier 2 (so Jan 2015). Your time as a dependent only counts towards 10 years long residency.
