I am going to apply ILR based on 5 years category(Tier 2) next month.
I wonder if my case will be considered as a continuous 5 years stay.

My visa status is as follows.

----------------------------------------
Work Permit; Aug 2007 to Aug 2010
Tier 2; Sep 2010 to Aug 2012
( same employer for 5 years )
Tier 2; Feb 2013 to now (Tier 2 visa expire on Feb 2016)

Applied for ILR on Aug 2012 and received the refusal letter on January 2013. (reason; the employer's letter did not mention that I would be still required for employment. )
Within the 3D period on Jan 2013, applied for Tier 2 (General) within the UK with the new employer and received Tier 2 Visa on Jan 2013.
---------------------------------------------

Since the contract with my previous employer expired on Aug while I am applying the ILR and obtained the current Tier 2 Visa with my new employer on Jan 2013, I wonder if my case will be considered as a continuous period of 5 years which is required for settlement under the category of Tier 2 General.

Your suggestions will be appreciated. Thank you.
