Can you appeal against the decision in case if application is refused on 10 year long residency basis?

If your current leave expired while waiting for a decision, otherwise no.

I had a refusal back in 2010 and went to appeal, so some kind of complications expected. But never been illegal in nearly 10 years.
So just as a precaution.
