Thanks everyone here who helped me in many of the times and appreciated all your helps. I now have few question to ask.

My visa stamped -28-Aug-2008
Date of Entry- 07-Sep-2008
Current visa valid (Tier1) May 2014

Since my visa stamping date on 28-Aug-2008, my 5 year completion happens on 27-Aug-2013

Consider 27-Aug-2013 is the 5 year completion date, I can apply 28 days earlier in advance, Hence, I am eligible to apply from 30 July 2013.

Could someone helps clarify me on this ? I have my current visa valid till May 2014 and planning to book appointment for ILR soon I get this clarified.

You count your 5 years from 28th August 2008. If your Visa expires on 28/08/2013,then 28 days before that date.

Fairly simple to count 28 days backwards from the advice Kevin24 provided previously. I really don't understand the issue, you can apply anytime within the 28 day window and as your visa is still valid beyond the 28th August, does it really matter for the sake of a couple of days?
