ILR Long Residence - Days outside UK

I have just looked at my passports to calculate number of days outside UK in the last 10 years and they are around 270 days.

I understand there is a 180 day limit, how much of a problem it could be in my application. I am due to apply in couple of weeks time ?

Please advise.

Incorrect, the absence limit is 540 days for the whole 10 year period with no more than 180 days at one time.

thanks alot for coming back, seems that i misinterpreted the yearly rule with whole 10 years residence. Such a relieve.

I am due to apply in two weeks time however my current passport was due to expire end of this year hence i applied for a renewed passport which will take till end of august 2013.

I still have my current passport, can i apply with my current passport regardless of how long HO takes to process my application or wait till i get the renewed passport before i apply for ILR long residence.

Hope i havent confused you
