Dear All

Just a quick one: Can a temporary accomodation allowance (3 months) be included as a part of previous earnings?

This 3 month accomodation (i.e a flat rented by the company on behalf of me and they paid the rent for that 3 months) was a part of my employment package (clearly written in the contract)

I believe I've read this in the settlement guidance notes, but couldn't for the life of me find it again.

cheers

The policy guidance is a PDF file.
Hitting Ctrl F opens the search field so enter accommodation and hit return. Good luck.

Yes I've been doing that, but couldnt find the search term. Hence I thought to post the question :)

ignore me, turned out my inbrowser adobe can't do proper searches (a known mac issue). Found it now.

Just to make things clear for other: yes accomodation allowance can be used as a part of previous earnings.

just to follow up on that, since we need two different proofs for pervious earnings, will the following be ok as the proofs for accomodation allowances:

1) employment contract (accomodation allowance mentioned in the contract, but not the actual amount of rent)
2) rental aggrement (between the property owner and the company which involves the rent paid for that period)

cheers

No way will a rental agreement be considered as earnings proof! The accommodation allowance must be paid to you and appear on your payslips. If the company have paid for your accommodation in a separate arrangement to your salary, I can't see how that would be considered.
