Can I apply?

Visa Start date: 01-Oct-2008
First Entry: 04-Oct-2008
After two days, left UK and was absent for 147 days
Second Entry: 01-Mar-2009
Since then I have been living in UK continuously.
During 147 days absence: My wife was always in UK on dependent visa, was doing temp role. I was in living and working in Zurich, onsite assignment through an Indian outsourcing company. I was actively looking for job based in UK. I had to honour 12 rent agreement in Zurich, I had to serve one month's notice as well to my then employer. It was not was not easy to quit a job when recession was at peak.
Do you think I should apply for ILR on 04-Oct-2013 or wait?
