Hi all,

I’m planning to apply for ILR next week and would like to ask below:

1. Section 6 Declarations: the application is for my son under age 12 years, do I need to print his name and put my signature or print my name and signature.
2. I’m not supplying any document other than passport and UK life test; do I need to sign section 5 consent for UK border agency to Request verification checks?

same as my applying for LR.

Ok, if the applicant is under 18, the parent or legal guardian should sign on
their behalf, your name and your signature.

You should sign the verification consent, in case the HO request you to send further documentary evidence.

First of all thanks to everyone who contributes into this forum, secondly today I have posted my (my wife and two children) application for 10 years indefinite leave to remain ( LR) but nothing applied for my daughter , as she has born in the UK on 2007 and her visa dependent on my wife’s Tier 2 ( General) will expire on September .

I read in this forum that we can escape from applying for her and wait to get our application back form home office successfully then to apply for her as a British citizen directly using form MN1.


My question is:

1.Is there anyone did the same and become successful? I just worried a bit about her visa expire while waiting for LR result.

2.Is it not better to apply for her on SET (F) ?

She'll be fine providing you don't want to travel. Just complete MN1 once you're granted ILR.

I know I have asked a stupid question but forgive me I’m a bit worried ,but could you please answer why you are advising to wait then to use form MN1 and not to apply on form set ( F)?

I know MN1 cost around £673 and set ( F) cost £1051 , is there any other reason?

You want her to become British do you not? If so, then just apply for MN1 once you're granted ILR. If you apply for her set(f) you'll still have to apply for MN1.

Local education authority (LEA) schooling are not considered to be public funds

Please one more question as below:

I have applied for 10 years ( LR ) last month and planning to travel out of UK after successfully getting the result .

My current work permit visa expires on Feb 2014 but my UK born child 's visa ( Tier 2 which is dependent on my wife's visa ) expirs on Sep 2013 ,as i know that when we get ILR i will apply for her on MN1 form.

I wanted to travel out of uk quickly after gaining ILR and do not waite for MN1 , so can i apply for extension for my child depending on my work permit visa now?
