Hi

i need to apply for 10 years long residence. before applying i need advice from Moderators and Guru.

that i have applied for Post study work (PSW) from student visa. my student visa was valid on a time of applying PSW. home office refused my PSW due to letter missing from University. but they have given me appeal time. i have appealed within a time and court has given the decision in my favour. then i have send my passport to HO for PSW visa they have issued me a visa after 8 months.

so my question: is that do i am eligible for 10 years long residence to apply. if i am eligible do i need to write in cover letter to explaining caseworker about that appeal and how many days you can be away from UK in those 10 years.
what is the best advice that do i need to hire Solicitor for applying 10 years long residence or apply myself.

thanks.

You should be okay as you were covered under Section 3C/3D during that time.

No more than 180 days at one time and no more than 540 in total.

Given that your appeal was successful there shouldn't be any issue to explain, nor should a solicitor be necessary.
