anyone ever had any issue due to unemployment/funds?

Hi

I realise that for Tier 1 applicants it is not a requirement to be in employment all the time and there is no fund maintenance. But would be nice to hear any successful cases where they were unemployed at the time of ILR application and were they asked anything about the funds at all? (as being unemployed would indirectly lead to reduced funds as there will be no inflow salary)

thanks in advance

I have seen many successful cases here in the past for tier1 without having a job(Difficult to find link though). What you need to do is have all interview mails /letter etc and tell them that you have been trying hard. As far as i remember in your last post you said you are hopeful of getting one so explain that too.You will be fine.

thanks dk2011. I could do that. Just concerned about the funds coz they might want me to show decent funds in my account for my maintenance. All I could show is some 2k at best. But hopefully fingers crossed.

How long your VISA is valid ? Without job ILR fee would also a burden . isn't it ? If you are concerned then alternatively you can wait until you get a job especially when you are very hopeful of getting one soon.

It's valid until the end of the month. I have managed to accomodate some money for visa fee. I am applying this friday. I believe this is the best time. I have hoped to be in employment by now but things didnt turn up as planned.

cheers
