Any August ILR Applicants?

Hi All,

Just wondered if there are any August ILR applicants, my wife submitted her SETM form at Nottingham council, using the SCS service on the 9th of August, her 2 years are due to finish on the 20th of August.

Just wondering if we can do a tracker thread, ive seen threads for other months and I thought it maybe useful to do one aswell!

Just a small not on the SCS service, useful, if you need your passports, Dudley council is my local council, but whilst they do the SCS service, just making an appointment with them is a thankless task, its a real unprofessional setup it seems, you have to call them or email them and generally wait 5 days for them to call you, and if you miss their call you have to phone back and wait another 5 days! Nottingham, charged a bit more but I got an appointment fairly quickly and managed to speak to them. They seem reasonably experienced, lets hope it all goes according to plan eh!

So here goes :

Application submission method : Using Settlement Checking Service at Nottingham council.
Type of application: SET(M)
Type of previous residency: 2 Years Spouse Visa (VAF4)
Dependant: 0
Payment method: Debit Card (ADVISED BANK OF PAYMENT AMOUNT PRIOR TO FORM SUBMISSION)

Date Applied: 09/08/2013
Date of payment taken: 15/08/2013
Date of the acknowledgement letter: 14/08/13 received 19/08/13
Biometric letter: 15/08/13 received 19/08/13
Biometrics done: 20/08/13

hi

its a good post wassup. i found it informative and helpful. my own status is ILR and my wife is on spouse visa with one dependnt child. she is going to apply her ILR in a couple of days and her 27 months spouse visa will be expiring end of this month.
i just want to ask you a question regarding your wife's spouse visa duration. as you have mentiondc it was granted in july 2011, so how long was it for? 2 years or more?

Here's our updated timeline.

Date Applied: 13/08/2013
Date of payment taken: 19/08/2013
Date of the acknowledgement letter: 16/08/13 received 20/08/13
Biometric letter: 27/08/13 received 30/08/13
Biometrics done: 30/08/13
Date of approval:

Note on Biometrics: Post Office website is RUBBISH at trying to find where you can get them done. The link takes you to a generic branch finder.
Our local PO had the machine... but no staff were trained to do biometrics, grrr. :x
Still, after a jolly jaunt out cross country to the next county we got them done - very simple.

Now we wait......

Happy days and thank god its been a simple and reasonably quick process, and the £100 spent at the Nottingham SCS service has been well spent imo
