Hi Guys !
M new to this forum and appreciate all the work done. I ve got a few questions and you guys input will be much appreciated.

1- does my Period starts from the time i arrive in uk Or the day i was stamped with the UK visa?
2- is it going to make a difference to my application if i post it through a solicitor?
3- will i have to send them my old passport as well to cover my last ten years?
4- i do have a penalty charge for speeding and was given a fine by the courts. will that affect my application?

Any advise would be appreciated

When did you receive the court conviction?

You do not need a solicitor if your case is straight forward.

Your passports covering the last 10 years will suffice.

See the long residence guide (click)

Your 10-year qualifying period starts from either:

the date when you arrived in the UK with a visa; or

the date you were given permission to stay in the UK.
