Age at first application of HSMP

Hi
Firstly congratulations to MeganJane for getting the ILR approved after the initial confusion.

I have a related query which I hope someone here can help clarify.

I first applied for my HSMP in Dec 2007 when I was 27 years old. I claimed 20 points under the age category. My application was approved and the HSMP approval letter arrived 4 weeks later, dated Jan 2008, by which time I had turned 28. I then was granted leave to enter UK in June 2008 and entered UK in Aug 2008.

My question is whether I could still claim 20 points for my ILR application? If proof of my age at point of application is to be my HSMP approval letter then it would seem that I was 28 at that point in time and no where on the HSMP letter does it say that I claimed 20 points under the age category.

FYI: I subsequently went on to extend my stay via tier 1 (general) twice.

Thanks in advance!

Hi Moderator

Sorry for sounding like asking a repeat question but I just want to confirm that UKBA would have internal records of my age at the first application for HSMP and I would not need to show proof as I do not have any documents for that purpose. (i.e. My HSMP approval letter is dated after my 27th birthday)
