applying from out of uk

as a ex hm forces soldier who married a british citizen,what is the correct route of entry to come back to uk to join your spouse and child.they are with me now in my homeland on holiday. and i want to come back with them.i just left the army april 2013 my last leave expired may 28th 2013.the left uk july 15th.
