Hi, I have a few about going from UK ancestry to ILR.

1) During the qualifying period, is one allowed to leave the UK for, 90 days or 180? some sorces say the period is 90, others say 180. Not sure which one is right

2) do you have to show proof of earning + how much money in your bank account to be eligible?

3) during the qualifying period in the UK is there anything that my hinder your chances of ILR. such as, bad credit or benefit applications. (I was on jobseekers for about 4 weeks)

4) do they look at your employment history?

From what I read you just need to show that you have been living in the UK for the past i years, have not left the UK for more than 180 days. Thats it pay the 2000 quid and you get ILR...

Sorry if thease questons are rather obvious. I have tried to find infomation all over the net. UK Boarder agency does not make things easy!

Thank you very much.

Thank you.

2) u have to show proof of earning..And show that you have enough money for maintenance
3) u r not allowed to access public funds on ancestry visa.
4) they will just check if you have been working..not necessarily all the time..just to see u have been supporting yourself and not claiming benefits

Qualifying period is 5 years , fee is £1426 PEO, £1051 post
