I have applied for ILR based on long residence (10 year ). Once I obtain that, I intend to get my wife as a dependant on the ILR.
She is a UK medical school graduate and is currently working here in the UK. She has been in the UK for 8 years. She is currently on Tier 2 sponsored visa. When we apply for ILR dependant, will she have any restrictions to work as a doctor in training. ( She has never had any restrictions previously as she is a UK medical school graduate).

No, only dependants of PBS migrants are subject to such restrictions.

An FLR(M) holder may work as a doctor in training. However, her qualifying period for ILR in this category would be reset.

What do you mean the qualifying period for ILR will be reset. Does it affect it when she applies for ILR when it reaches 10 years?

No it won't affect a Long Residence application, Vinny means that if she applied for FLR(M) she would have to wait 5 years to settle or when she completes 10 years. She may qualify after 5 years as a qualifying PBS applicant but applying for FLR(M) would reset this qualifying period to a new 5 years or when 10 years is reached.

Thanks a lot. That makes sense.
