ILR - Council Tax Liability order/ summons

Hello
Does the council tax liability order or summons makes any impact in ILR application? I've made the full payment to a bailiffs organisation. But I would be eligible for applying ILR in nov 2016 only. So do they check only the past 3 year record at the time of application? Thanks in advance!

Although not paying council tax can result in a general grounds for refusal, the fact you have paid it would rebut this. Keep proof it has been paid for future reference.

Hi amber
Thanks for the post. I called the council and enquired what is it with my account. They said it's not a liability order nor would be an ccj or civil penalty. Do I need to enclose this anyway in my application? Thanks

No, but you could add information just stating that you've paid your arrears.

Hi amber
Thanks for the post. I'm in a process of applying for my tier 2 extension visa. Should I still need to declare this under civil/county court judgement section or can I just inform about this on cover letter. Please reply. Thanks

Amber, please my most recent council tax bill for 2014/2015 does state that i was owing about 158 pounds from the previous year,so if i add this document in my application it will indicate i was owing and summoned to court, i have paid but don't have a receipt, am thinking of paying again, get the receipt and use the council tax bill in my application...or do i simply do without the council tax bill since it mentions the court proceedings

It's not a civil judgement, I wouldn't bother about it. Insofar as your making payments.

What if I am living in a shared accommodation where I don't pay council tax because i am not registered as someone else is paying it. Will this have any effect on ilr or tier 2 extention ??

No, not if someone is paying it.
