Hi

I am UK ILR holder. The issue is this whenever (every time) i entered in UK. The immigration officer stops me for some time 15 to 20 minutes and let me go with apology. The issue is this i entered in UK from Paris in 2011. The UK Border Agency immigration officer scan my passport and stops me suddenly. After some time let me go with apology. At that time i requested immigration officer whats the problem, why UK Border Agency stops me every time i entered in UK. He says there was some deleted inquiries in 2007. The inquiries are deleted from the system. UK Border Agency officer ensure me that he will request UK Border Agency Croydon to update their system to avoid any hassel and hesitation again. But unfortunately again i entered in UK dated 09th April 2013 from Islamabad-Pakistan. The immigration officer again stops me and let me go with apology. She repeated same thing. I will write to Croydon office in 2011. But no response.

Please share your experience and advise what to do.

'deal with it' as in ' just accept it as a minor inconvenience in life, there's not a whole lot one can do to change it'.

Did the officer explain why they stopped you?It is really is nothing to worry about.Get the red-book then you can scan your passport on entry yourself with no immigration officer questioning you.

Request your SAR file from UKBA to know as what record they keep about you and same can help you to ascertain the actual reason. Seeking help from your local MP maybe useful too.

Dear: Peppekalle

The IO at airport just told me that, there is some inquiries against you in 2007. Now deleted. That's why stop you. No further comments from officer.
Immigration Officer apology about the delay.

hi, i was in the same boat as you, until a very nice immigration officer stopped me and advised me what to do; I emailed homeoffice UKBAeuropeanenquiries@ukba.gsi.gov.uk
cc: UKBACustomerComplaints@homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk
write professionally, and explain your problem. and your frustration too.
i mentioned how it was embarrassing and costing me money as I was missing my onward journey.
They will then look into your case and remove that notification of your profile.
It took them one month to respond but the case worker was very apologetic.
hope this helps.
