Set(M) question

I have been married since 2011. I am a US citizen, my wife a British citizen. I am completing my two year probationary period which is valid until the 1st of December of this year. I have my Life in the UK test booked for the 27th of November, couldn't get it any earlier this month. I will be applying for the Set(M) application. I was wondering if I pass the test and get my certification if sending it just on or after the 27th would be fine? Also, being a citizen of the US I'm guessing I don't require the Knowledge of Language certification? I do have a degree in History of Art from a UK university if I need extra proof.

The LIUK alone will suffice KoLL as you are a US National. Ensure you have adequate cohabitation proof - a joint letter or a letter each for every 4 months of the last 2 years from a total of at least 3 different sources.

Ensure the application is submitted by the 1st December by registered or recorded post and keep the receipt. The case worker will keep the envelope in your file as proof of date posted.
