Query re: standing rules for pre-Jul 2012 spouse visa

Hi there,

I'm a UK citizen with non-EEA spouse. She came to the UK in May 2012 and so is looking to apply for ILR in May/Jun next year after her old-style 2-year probationary period. She just passed her Life in the UK test.

I want to know if the new £18600 income threshold has any bearing on our ILR application. I'm currently on more than that, but contract is up in April 2014 and it's not certain it'll be renewed. We have savings of 50k+ and I'll hopefully have work by the time we make the application, but I can't guarantee it'll be more than £18600.

Any opinions/info? All the UKBA site seems to say is we should be able to support ourselves without recourse to public funds, no specific numbers on the site.

Many thanks.

You are under the old rules, with those savings you do not need to give finances another thought. She will require B1 English in addition to LIUK for KoLL unless exempt.
