Hi

First Situation:

I was on student visa , valid until 31-03-2009, then applied and got Tier 2(G) (applied within time i.e before 31-03-2009) but Tier 2 (g) visa VALID From date is 09-04-2009 to 09-04-2012

Second Situation:

At the extension further from 09-04-2009 , i got up to 09-04-2014.

My question here is what to do with those 8 days i.e from 01-04-2009 to 08-04-2009 (as student visa was up to 31-03-2009 and Tier 2 G started from 09-04-2009. Will this be considered as a gap and i will take it in calculating 5 years or not?

Thanks

Hi guys i know this is 4-5 months ago but read in another post that ilr was rejected for exactly the same reason and he made and in-country application to extend his tier 1 g. The Home Office stated that he had gap of 20 days? Could anybody pls confirm? My tier 1 g was granted 10 June 09 for 3 yrs and extension granted 7 July 12 but i applied in April 2012. Thanks in anticipation of a reply/replies.

If a valid application is being submitted before the current leave expiry date then regardless of the processing time be consumed on it will be considered continuous and will be counted towards the qualifying period for ILR.
