Hi

I applied for spouse visa before 9th July rule changes but got the visa in Feb 2013 valid till Feb 2015. So I should be eligible to apply for ILR in Feb 2015 based on old rule of 2 years and not 5 years. My doubt is how they will check whether I applied before or after 9th July 2012?

Do I need to prove that I applied before 9th July by providing post office receipt?

Do you not have an acknowledgement letter from the UKBA regarding your application? That should show the date it was received.

Date of application:

In the UK -> leave to remain -> 34G.

Out of the UK -> leave to enter (entry clearance, visa) -> Kaur (Entry Clearance – date of application) India [2013] UKUT 381 (22 July 2013).

Thanks. The question is would they refer to this info from their records or I will have to provide proofs?
