Working abroad after ILR

Hi

I am currently applying for a role with my present employer which if successful will see me being transferred to their Middle East offices.

I am currently trying to weigh my options and would appreciate if any of the senior forum members could help me. If I move abroad for this role after ILR, can I return after x number of years or travel to - fro to UK on the basis that I am still working with my existing employer?

Is it worth me getting a letter from my existing employer proving this.

If not, what are my options as I am in a dilemma whether to spend a good chunk of money on a PEO appt in 2 months time.

Regards
Wins

Usually after two years out of UK ILR 'expires' but I think the real test is whether you will have cut ties with the UK.

Consensus on cases like these is to wait for Naturalisation.
